Psquare's Nigerian singer Paul Okoye laments the lack of the Naira Note and how it affects him today. Naija News reports that Nigerians have suffered from a shortage of new naira banknotes since the naira's reorganization policy. In a post shared on Instagram, Paul Okoye said he needed cash, so he bought 40,000 Naira against 70,000 Naira at the embassy. He described the current situation as "Nigeria breaking a new record."
he wrote: "Omi!! I'm going to buy money today! It has to be paid in cash just because you have to pay a certain fee at the embassy. Jokes aside, we broke a new record by buying 40,000 for 70,000. "Aahhh, Naija." Meanwhile, the singer has criticized the Senate after he asked the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to extend the circulation date of the old naira notes by six months. Recall that at Tuesday's plenary session, lawmakers said Apex Bank should extend the deadline to July 31, 2023.
