Kashim Shettima Cast His Vote In Maiduguri

Nigeria's vice-president-elect Kasim Shetima arrived at a polling station in Maiduguri on Saturday morning to cast his vote for Borno state governor and House of Representatives candidate.
Naija News understands that Shettima has exercised citizenship in his Lawan Kukawa (PU 023), his constituency in his Lamisula district of Borno state capital.

Shettima and his principal, Bora Tinub, were due to take office as Nigeria's president and vice president in May 2023 after winning the presidential election, which just ended on February 25.

But in Borno state, incumbent governor Baba Ganaumarazurum is seeking his re-election for a second term on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The incumbent governor is vying for the seat between People's Democratic Party (PDP) Mohammed Jajari and Labor candidate Captain Ibrahim Musheria Qaddafil (Rtd).
